WHEN DO YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE ROLLER FEED KIT?
If you're getting error messages, this may indicate it's time to change the drum unit, the toner cartridge, or the waste toner box assembly. Typical error messages are:
Drum unit - repeating defects on image, uneven pitch, uneven density, foggy, 35-0073 Drum Unit replacement and 40-0073.
Toner Cartridge - 10-0100 Toner cartridge replace.
Waste Toner Box Assembly - 11-0001 Waste toner container full, 11-0010 Waste toner container near full.
HOW TO CHANGE DRUM UNIT, WASTE, AND TONER CARTRIDGES
Before beginning any technical work, power off the machine and unplug it.
Keep your unit in its best shape by changing the toner cartridge, waste assembly, and drum unit when required. Follow these steps for easy removal and insertion.
STEP ONE: REMOVE THE OLD CARTRIDGE
Open the right-hand side door and open the front cover door. Move the toner cartridge lever up to unlock the toner cartridge, then pull out the toner cartridge. You may need to rotate the toner cartridge a little for easier removal.
STEP TWO: REMOVE WASTE TONER BOX ASSEMBLY AND DRUM UNIT
If you need to remove the water toner box and/or the drum unit, unlock the waste toner box assembly and remove it, Next, unlock the black drum unit and pull it out.
STEP THREE: INSERT A NEW DRUM UNIT
Insert the new drum unit keeping the unit at a slight angle. Be careful not to scratch the drum unit and do not keep it outside, for it is light-sensitive. Once the drum unit is in, give it a little push to secure the drum unit inside the machine.
STEP FOUR: INSERT WASTE TONER BOX AND NEW TONER CARTRIDGE
Before inserting a new cartridge assembly, insert the waste toner box assembly and lock it in place. Next, insert and lock the toner cartridge in place.
STEP FIVE: LOCK AND CLOSE
After locking the toner cartridge in, close the front cover and the right-side cover.
